Burning Incense can be a great experience, but it can also be unsafe. Here are some pointers to help keep your experience fun and safe:

  • This is Hot! It might seem apparent but never hurts to be reminded. Always be aware while burning incense.
  • The glowing tip of the Incense can cause a significant burn to the skin or ruin a piece of cloth, even while gently brushing against it.
  • Always use a heat resistant surface while using your Incense and remember even that surface can become Hot.

Is your Burner truly Heat Resistant?

  • If you are placing your Incense directly inside a glass container, remember this glass container could get Very Hot and could Shatter, especially if the incense burner being used is not well insulated. Make sure the surface you place your Incense Burner on is Heat Resistant, non-flammable, and stable.
  • Ash from your Incense Burner or Incense could discolor your furniture. It could even become hot enough to cause a fire. It is very important to make sure all Incense Ash falls on a heat resistant, non-flammable surface.

Where is the best place to put your Incense Burner?

  • Always position your Incense away from flammable surface/items. For example, drapes, sheets, lampshades, Clothes, and any other item that is flammable.
  • Stay away from open windows or air conditioning units or drafty areas, this could blow hot ash around and cause fire.
  • Always burn Incense in a well-ventilated area.

Keep Out of Reach:

  • Keep out of reach of children and all animals.
  • Never leave burning Incense unattended.
  • Make sure once you are done using the Incense that it is fully put out and cold to the touch before throwing in the trash. Hot Incense can ignite a trash can.
  • Break off the tip of Incense and discard in water or bury it in sand.

Healthy Time to Burn:

  • If you have any medical complications stop using it immediately and speak to a physician. (Asthmatic, respiratory difficulty, seizures, stroke etc.)
  • If Nursing or Pregnant consult a physician prior to use
  • Don’t burn incense while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
  • Incense are to be enjoyed externally not internally, do not consume Incense.
